Thank You, Memphis, Tennessee

The 2025 Walkabout Tour presented by Ritchie Industries started in Memphis, Tennessee, last weekend at the Agricenter ShowPlace Arena. Clinton got the event underway on Saturday morning, starting off with a colt starting demonstration. Truly, a Paint colt, was the perfect student and Clinton and Professional Clinician Jeff Davis were able to work together to put a first ride on him.

The weekend was filled with a variety of training demos, from gaining respect and control on the ground to riding with confidence and sharing how to problem solve and do advanced maneuvers with your horse. Dude, a buckskin Quarter Horse, was the star of the event. Jeff worked with him in three demonstrations – two groundwork training sessions and a riding session – to show how to start the Method and build a horse’s confidence and trust in you as a leader.

Of course, the horsemen gathered loved watching Clinton ride his reined cow horse mare, Prada, and seeing his up-and-coming performance horse prospects. In an obstacle demonstration, Clinton and Jeff worked with two 2-year-old cow horses, Scarlett and Holly Time. While Clinton taught Scarlett how to negotiate obstacles from the ground, Jeff rode Holly Time to show how to introduce obstacles in the saddle.

Our Ritchie Charity Ball Toss group, WarHorses for Heroes raised $3,937 for their nonprofit that offers therapeutic riding services to veterans.

We have two more stops on the 2025 Walkabout Tour. We’ll be bringing the even to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in July and Waterloo, Iowa in September. Get all the details and secure your tickets on our website.
