December NWC DVD: A Lesson in Leadership

 

In this month’s No Worries Club exclusive, Clinton works with Kyla Stone and her horse Apache for a member lesson. Since becoming Apache’s owner, Kyla has had to deal with the gelding’s reactive, spooky and pushy nature. He’s afraid of loading on the trailer, won’t stand still to be bathed, pulls back when he’s tied and overreacts to nearly everything. Kyla tried to teach Apache the Fundamentals by watching the Downunder Horsemanship television show, but despite her efforts Kyla saw little improvement in her horse. He was still reactive, pushy and oftentimes dangerous to be around. Out of frustration, Kyla contacted Downunder Horsemanship, and Clinton decided to give her and Apache the help they needed. This lesson will inspire you to get results with your horse and serves as a great reminder that there are no shortcuts when training horses – you must be thorough and dedicated to success!
