Safely Tie Your Horse With Mecate Reins

We love mecate reins for their versatility – there are no better reins to trail with. The built-in lead rope allows you to do groundwork with your horse and it also makes it safe to tie your horse up with the bridle.

You’ve probably always heard that you shouldn’t tie a horse up with the bridle, and for good reason. If the horse pulled back, he could cut his tongue on the bit, break the bridle or hurt himself. However, if you use the mecate reins correctly, you can safely tie your horse using the reins and the bridle.

Clinton shares how to safely tie your horse up using mecate reins in this short training video.

Special Offer: For the next 10 days, all Downunder Horsemanship mecate sets are on sale for $299.99 for nonmembers and $199.99 for No Worries Club members.
